2010 Season: Draft & Awards Party
It was a red carpet event at Trueman’s place in Soulard Saturday, November 20th as the St. Louis GateKeepers had their annual awards ceremony. This was also a big event due to the unveiling of the three teams that will make up the local league next year starting March 13th at Queeny Park. Most of the GateKeepers and many Arch Rival Roller Girls were in attendance for the festivities that went on late into the evening.
Magnum got things started off with the introduction of the 3 local teams that will be battling it out for supremacy this season.
And those teams are:

There are still two more supplemental drafts before the season begins in March so these teams will be adding a few more faces to their rosters in that time. On paper, these three teams appear to be very evenly matched and I’m certain we are going to see a lot of amazing Men’s Derby throughout the 2011 season. We will be announcing the full 2011 schedule very soon. As you can see, the Arch Rival Roller Girls are big supporters of Men’s Roller Derby and the GateKeepers have them to thank for a lot of the success we have had over the past year. We look forward to doing even more great things together as we promote Derby in the St. Louis area. We love the Arch Rival Roller Girls!
Once Magnum was done announcing the new teams and the excitement faded just a tad, yours truly took over the mic to announce the award portion of the evening’s festivities.

Congratulations to all the winners.
The GateKeepers also took time to honor one of our retirees as Boba is hanging up his skates. He was presented with a wonderful plaque and everyone gave him a great round of applause. The loss of Boba on and off the track for the GateKeepers is huge. We will miss his leadership, knowledge and intensity. Boba, you will be missed greatly.
