This October is a big month for the St. Louis GateKeepers! Both on and off the track, there’s a ton of stuff happening that we want you, the fans, to know about and be a part of!
The excitement beings the first weekend of October when the B-Keepers head to Chicago to face the Chicago Bruise Brothers. These two teams last played each other in St. Louis 2 years ago. Now the B-Keepers are headed to their home turf for round 2!
Also that weekend, the GateKeepers join up with the Arch Rival Roller Girls for GroveFest! This fun street festival happens every October in the Grove and the St. Louis roller derby scene will be there. Join your favorite skaters for this unique event that’s sure to have something for everyone.
On October 11th, GateKeeper Trivia Night returns! We’ll be at Concordia Seminary with doors opening at 6pm and the competion starting at 7pm. With free beer, soda, and wine as well as plenty of prizes, tickets are sure to go fast. It’s $20 per person, $160 for a table of 8. And don’t forget, you can register online beforehand to secure your spot!
The very next day, we’ll be having our local scrimmage/draft night to prepare for the upcoming local season in November. Who will end up being the newest additions to our local teams for this season? This will be the day to find out!
The following weekend, October 18th and 19th, the St. Louis GateKeepers travel to Seattle, WA to competing in the MRDA Championship. Be sure to cheer on your favorite bearded men’s roller derby team as they look to take the #1 spot!
Finally, we round out the month with what we do best (after derby, of course)… a party! Hallogreen V is happing on Halloween night! It’s time to put that planning into action and get that amazing costume ready for the best Halloween party you’ll ever go to… until Hallogreen VI
