He is the boogeyman that jammers and blockers fear is lurking in their closet. He is the bulldozer ready to clear a path for his jammer. He is the beast waiting to unleash the fury upon all opposition. He is the June Skater of the Month. He is….WRECKING BILL!

Why did you get into Derby?
AFTER THE ACHILLES TEAR ENDED MY RUN OF PLAYING FOOTBALL, I HEARD ABOUT DERBY AND STILL HAD THE DESIRE TO HIT PEOPLE …SO I DUG OUT THE SKATES AND THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A WHIRL.
Who do you think has had the most influence on your style of play?
STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN…I JUST WANT TO KICK ASS AND TAKE NAMES
What skates and wheels do you use?
SURE GRIP XK-4 PLATES, LOWBOY, STROKERS, D-ROD AND G-ROD WIDES
What was your favorite moment as a GateKeeper?
IT HAS TO BE WHEN WE BEAT NEW YORK…WITH THE DISMANTLING OF PUGENT A CLOSE SECOND
What is your pre-bout ritual?
I TRY TO EAT A STEAK, LISTEN TO SOME HARD ROCK MUSIC TO GET ME FIRED UP, THEN JUST SKATE AROUND, STRETCHING AND HITTING PEOPLE…OR WALLS
What advice do you have for other skaters?
TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY, POSITIONAL BLOCKING WORKS REAL WELL AND DOESN’T TAKE AS BIG OF A TOLL ON YOUR BODY…AND SKATE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
What is your favorite food?
T-BONE OR RIBEYE STEAK
What is your favorite thing to do outside of Derby?
RIDE MY HARLEY
If you could remove one penalty from the game what would it be?
ELBOW OR FOREARM PENALTY
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
I GUESS SINCE EVERYONE THINKS I LOOK LIKE HIM…DONALD GIBB…THE DUDE THAT PLAYED OGRE FROM THE REVENGE OF THE NERD MOVIES

Coming up on June 9th, the B-Keepers take on the Carolina Wrecking Balls in a double header with the Saint Lunachix of the Arch Rival Roller Girls taking on the Brew City Battlestars from Milwaukee. Tickets are on sale now for $15 at Brown Paper Tickets!
On June 16th, the Turf Wars continue as the South Grand Slammers take on the RiverFront Crimes. The Slammers look to bounce back after a tough loss to the Rockets and the Crimes are still looking for their first win of the season. Tickets will be going on sale soon so keep an eye on the site!
