The July Skater of the Month is well-known to GateKeeper fans. His physical blocking for the Crimes is one of the reasons they have reached the Turf Wars Championship this season and he continues to develop as a jammer for the B-Keepers. His fearlessness allows him to play any role needed in any situation and you can always rest assured he will give you everything he’s got and then some. He is the July Skater of the Month, he is Oodles of Brutal!

Why did you get into Derby?

I got into derby because it sounded pretty rad: camaraderie, new physical challenges, and of course to meet girls.

Who do you think has had the most influence on your style of play?

Wow, I dont know that there has been just one person who has influenced my play. I have been taking little pieces of everybodies style and finding what works for me. The GateKeepers all push each other to work hard and kick ass!

What skates and wheels do you use?

I skate on Vanilla Straght Jackets, Avemger Magnesium plates, and whatever wheels I can find.

What was your favorite moment as a GateKeeper?

I have to say that my favorite time as a GateKeeper was of course meeting my wife/coach Mayor Francis Slayer, and it was pretty cool going to play Your Mom at Rolling Along the River last summer with the B-Keepers.

What is your pre-bout ritual?

Pre-bout I eat a banana, drink water, down a five hour energy, and listen to some punk/hardcore.

What advice do you have for other skaters?

For other skaters I say make sure you put the time in off skates to keep your body in shape… The better shape you are in, the less prone you are to injuries.

What is your favorite food?

Food - I LOVE PORK… delicious pork.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of Derby?

Outside of derby I love to hang out and cook for my friends. OMGWTFBBQ!

If you could remove one penalty from the game what would it be?

If I could take away one penalty from the game, it would be low blocks. I just feel that they get called wrong the most.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

If its a movie about my life, then the only way people would come watch it is if you had someone like Brad Pitt or Ryan Gosling playing me. I mean I look totally like those guys anyway.
